Dies at 76 After Long Battle with Parkinson’s Disease

The music world is mourning the loss of the one-and-only Ozzy Osbourne, the iconic frontman of the legendary band Black Sabbath, who passed away at the age of 76. His death comes after a protracted battle with Parkinson’s disease and related health complications.

Osbourne’s family issued a brief but heartfelt statement: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that our beloved Ozzy has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love.”
After publicly announcing his Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2020, the rocker had faced escalating health issues — including spinal injuries, movement difficulties, and nerve damage — yet remained involved in music, charity, and public appearances until the very end.

In his final years, he reflected openly on his struggle: “It’s been five years of absolute hell,” he said in a recent interview, acknowledging the relentless toll of Parkinson’s and multiple surgeries. Yet his spirit remained resilient, and he gave fans one last performance in July 2025 before stepping away from the stage for good.

Many in the rock community paid tribute to Osbourne as the “Prince of Darkness” who helped redefine heavy metal and influenced generations of artists. His death marks the end of an era, but his legacy — raw, rebellious, unforgettable — will never fade.

Rest in peace, Ozzy — your voice, your presence, and your impact live on.
