The husband noticed her hesitation and tried again. “Come on, it’s okay… you can tell me.”

Finally, she sighed, then smiled faintly. “Alright… only two.”

“Two? Really?” he asked, intrigued.

She nodded. “Yes… you, and the pizza delivery guy last night.”

The husband blinked, completely taken aback. “Wait… what?”

She grinned, eyes twinkling. “Relax, silly. I meant two toppings on the pizza. Pepperoni and mushrooms.”

He stared at her for a moment, then couldn’t help but burst out laughing. Relief and amusement washed over him. He shook his head, realizing how his imagination had run wild.

Sometimes honesty is exactly what you think it is—or maybe it’s a little trickier than expected. And sometimes, a good laugh is the best way to start a marriage.
