Fourteen years passed, and I built a life without ever expecting to see her again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then one day, a young woman appeared at my front door holding a baby girl. Before I could say anything, she stopped me. \u201cSave it,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not here for an apology.\u201d She handed me the baby along with a folded note. My hands trembled as I opened it and read the words inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The note explained that the little girl suffered from a serious heart condition and urgently needed medical treatment.
